Improving GHNS
Good GHNS support in KDE depends on a number of factors. Maintenance of the KNewStuff2 library is an important one, but it also takes a good deal of work on the servers. The Hotstuff backend (homepage, SVN) is being developed by KStuff and is a one-stop package for dealing with GHNS. Both client and server development could do with a few more helping hands (subscribe to kde-services-devel for the server side).Furthermore, the GHNS specification is maintained at ghns.freedesktop.org and needs ideas from GHNS providers and users.
GHNS repositories
Each application or shareable data type should get its own dedicated GHNS repository. To be hosted on newstuff.kde.org, send a mail to the webmaster mentioning your application.SVN repository
Some of the GHNS repos here get their data directly from Subversion. Check out the kdedata repository for details. You can also access the documentation on how SVN-backed GHNs repositories work.Web pages for newstuff.kde.org
The web pages themselves are currently kept in KStuff SVN in a directory called newstuff.kde.org.[ Edit ]
